Colorado Fall Running - Breakaway Athletic Events - Narrowleaf Lake Run

Colorado fall running…it’s DANG tough to beat!

Many of us enjoy running when the weather is just a bit cooler. The air is crisp, we’re not a sweltering mess and our bodies often seem to ‘operate’ more smoothly. Yes, that’s running in Colorado in autumn. Not to mention the array of colors in the tree leaves make for a wonderful backdrop at nearly any turn you take.

Here are THREE things to maximize your Colorado fall running:

GET OUT THERE – This is overly simplified, but it’s true. Get out there and move! Even if you’re not fully up to running distances yet, get out side and move. Walk/jog as needed but get going and enjoy the fresh crisp air

CHOOSE A RACE – Not to brag…but our Narrowleaf Lake Run coming up soon is pretty awesome. Loads of different leaf colors, crisp morning air and a really fun family atmosphere to hit the run course with. Racing this time of year can be absolutely invigorating.

TEST YOURSELF – This is a great time of year to test yourself if you’re already a seasoned athlete. It’s nearing the end of certain multisport seasons, the start of fall and winter run season and awesome for testing paces or fueling strategies without melting in the heat.

What’s your go to fall run? How do you enjoy the colorful leaves, crisp air and later sunrises??
