Sometimes in life, we fall down. It happens to every single one of us, at some point and in some aspect.
It’s the very next step that can define that setback. How well you’re able to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and give it a go again is an absolutely critical point. What’s NOT important is the mistake, the poor judgement, the error, the miscalculation or whatever the actual incident was. It’s a bump in the road on your journey.
Translate these thoughts to your training and racing. Remember that setbacks in your fitness or nutrition are just part of life. Beating yourself up for them will keep you focused on them for way too long. Focus on the positive, the here and now and continue to evolve your process and goals as you become stronger and stronger with each day.
