FOMO or “Fear Of Missing Out” is something we all get hit with at times. It creeps in and sometimes it’s paralyzing. It doesn’t have to be though.

Here are THREE quick tips to ditch FOMO and enjoy your journey as an athlete.

REMEMBER YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS – The small things add up into a big win most times. Look back at your smaller accomplishments as an athlete and know that you’re awesome.

SLOW DOWN – Too much too fast can often be a recipe for disaster. Take a breath, slow down and realize your current level of capacity. You might just realize adding in this one extra thing is too much!

PARTICIPATE IN ANOTHER WAY – Afraid you’ll ‘miss out’ if you don’t race? Volunteer! Seriously! It’s an awesome way to connect with the race you would have had FOMO about without the stress and anxiety of racing. You’re there for the action and you’ll absolutely have a great time!
