Memory Powered Racing…is that a thing? Yes…indeed it is!

Our brains develop memories at astonishing levels. Using that to our advantage as an athlete takes practice. Put the power of your brain to work and crush your next race!

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE – Muscle memory is a thing…and treating your brain like a muscle with repetition can be hugely beneficial. Remember those T2 brick workouts for triathlon training…you know, hopping off the bike and immediately running for even just a short bit?? That right there is creating muscle memory through practice. Use this same technique with positive thinking, creative problem solving and dealing with a tough ‘speedbump’ for planning your next race.

IF YOU DREAM IT – Visualization works wonders. What’s your next race day look like? What’s your next training session look like? Feeling worried about a problem that might pop up? Visualize it happening. How will you deal with it? What steps will you take? How can you smash through it stronger and better?

RECALL THE FEELING – This is where memory power comes into play! Take a few minutes and recall a powerfully positive time where you felt invincible or as if you could take on the world. Now project that feeling onto your training day. Onto your race day. Onto your finish line sprint!
