Today’s post is another simple one. OWN your favorite race distance, not someone else’s.
Being an athlete comes with a competitive nature to it. Don’t let that seep into your mind though and take over your thoughts and actions. What’s your favorite race distance? The half marathon? A full distance triathlon? A short but challenging 5K? An ultra trail run?
Whatever you prefer, don’t feel pressure to ‘step up’ to someone else’s race distance. OWN what’s yours, what you like about it and enjoy it every single time you race.
The moment you start a race distance YOU didn’t set as a goal for yourself is the moment you start to loose touch with why you became an athlete in the first place.
