This post entry is a short recap of the 2022 Last Call Triathlon at Boyd Lake in Loveland Colorado.
Race morning featured ideal weather, six different race options and lots of first time athletes racing a multisport event. While water levels at the park were low the swim course was a great setup that could be viewed entirely from the beach points. This instilled confidence in athletes as they KNEW the course before getting into the water.
The bike course was smooth and quick with very very little wind this year in addition to a smaller number of park vehicles coming into the state park.
The run course had lots of high energy cheering as the CSU collegiate athletes lined the walkways cheering for their team and a number of athletes as they made the final 100 yard push for the finish line.
Great plant based food, local craft beer and hundreds of smiling first time triathletes and athletes made this event simply awesome.
