Sometimes in order to go faster or be quicker, we must first slow down. Sounds counter intuitive we know, but it really can work.
Life can often get hectic as an athlete. There are MANY things to juggle, manage, balance and focus on that your training and racing can suffer. You have goals or PR’s set for yourself and falling short of them can be a big mental strain.
If you’re feeling burnt out, overwhelmed or over capacity we suggest taking a little time to balance out and SLOW down with a number of things so that your training and race days are actually more efficient (and often yield faster/better results). We speak with many athletes each race season and this is a very key element to their success.
Take time to chill out, unwind, unplug and relax. Once you’ve gained a little quiet time, reset and regroup with a streamlined plan for your hectic life, training and racing schedule.
We’ll see you at the starting line 🙂
